ABOUT Deanna
Deanna Paton is an EC Licensed Coach and the 3rd generation of an equine family who has been in boarding and training business for over 50 years. Her family members have competed at venues such as The Royal, Madison Square Gardens and Royal Dublin Society in Ireland – from hunters and jumpers to dressage. Riding, coaching and training riders along the way. With no free rides at the barn, Deanna had to learn from the ground up…right from working in the barn mucking stalls to competing at Spruce Meadows. Teaching students, riding client horses, coaching at horse shows…. along the way. At age 7 she competed in her first A level circuit show on a lovely pony named Black Tie Affair and since then has developed her riding skills to be able to compete at Spruce Meadows Masters on her Thoroughbred gelding, Speed Zone. Deanna believes in teaching the fundamentals of horsemanship so that you are able to provide the best care and support to your equine partner. She believes that with hard work, dedication and a strong bond, you and your horse can achieve any goal you set your mind to from enjoying a Sunday afternoon on the trails to competing in the jumper ring at Spruce Meadows…. or anything in between. Deanna started Next Generation Equestrian in order to provide a place for people who share the same passion for horses that she has. To show that it doesn’t matter what type of horse you have, or what your goals are, the basics are all the same. Deanna’s goal is to share her knowledge and experience with those who love horses.
